Close on the heels of setting up a workspace in Bengaluru, Cactus Communications has opened a new workspace in Hyderabad.

In the last 10 years, Hyderabad has emerged as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology hub in India. The government is investing heavily in research and innovation in the pharma sector and plans on implementing initiatives to attract investments in the industry. With business districts like Genome Valley, Medical Devices Park, and the upcoming Hyderabad Pharma City, Hyderabad will become home to the biggest infrastructure and talent base in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industry in India. Cactus Communications (CACTUS) plans on tapping into this infrastructure and talent base through its new workspace in Hyderabad.

Cactus Life Sciences—a CACTUS brand that has been offering medical communications solutions to pharmaceutical and other industries in the life sciences since 2002—has been expanding its operations in the UK, US, Japan, and China. CACTUS plans on hiring skilled scientific writers to keep up with this increased pace in operations.

On the new office, Elvira D’souza, President, Global Medical Communication for Cactus Life Sciences, says, “Hyderabad is, without a doubt, a goldmine of talent for the life sciences sector. We are certain that our headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey, and global offices will benefit in terms of skilled scientific writers as well as the network and infrastructure that Hyderabad has to offer.”

Abhishek Goel, Co-founder and CEO of CACTUS, adds, “Our mission is to set up base in hubs around the world so that we can leverage the infrastructure and network offered by these hubs and also collaborate with the government and other bodies to propel the life sciences into a new era. Hyderabad offers several avenues to meet this mission.”

The Hyderabad location would make it CACTUS’s third office in India after Mumbai and Bengaluru, and the 10th in the world after London, Princeton, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Seoul.
