Careers in editing: An introductory session

After the session, we will conduct a short test and accept applications for a 10-day course on Academic Editing in English, to be conducted from 4-15 July in Kolkata.

The introductory session and the Academic Editing in English course are organised by Cactus Communications in collaboration with The Neotia University.

Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of accomplishment and be fast-tracked through CACTUS’ selection process for an editorial job of their choice.

Associate Editor (Office- or home-based) Starts at INR 4,00,000
Senior Associate Editor (Office- or home-based) Starts at INR 6,00,000
Assistant Managing Editor (Office-based) Based on qualifications and experience
Managing Editor (Office-based) Based on qualifications and experience
Full-time contractual:  
Editor (home-based) INR 3,24,000 to 7,20,000 depending on amount of work done
Editor (home-based) Typically INR 3,00,000 to 6,00,000 depending on amount of work done

Opportunities at The Neotia University:

Participants who successfully complete the 10-day course can sign up for The Neotia University’s postgraduate diploma course in editing at a discount of INR 5,000 and will automatically earn 6 credits, which can be carried forward for two consecutive academic years. This course will run for a period of 9 months and will include 3 months of on-the-field training.

To be eligible for this course, you should be
