Recognizing talent
Talent recognition is key to employee motivation, retention, and satisfaction. At Cactus, we expect highly skilled employees to turn out excellent quality for our clients. We are aware that this is difficult work and we appreciate it!
One small, yet touching, way that we at Cactus thank our employees for their help, is by handing out Value Cards. Month-on-month, managers have the choice to hand out Value Cards to their colleagues for times at which any of them practiced one or more of the Cactus values–Excellence, Trust, Integrity, Innovation, Communication, and last but not the least, Fun! In the last two years, more than 200 value cards have been handed out and are proudly displayed on soft boards around the office.
One of the recent initiatives adopted by the HR department is the "Ace Achiever" program: every three months, managers nominate the top performers in their teams. A panel of "judges" examines nominations, and four finalists are selected to win an Ace Achiever trophy, amidst much clapping, hooting, and cheering.
Saying "Arigato!" to those who have made a difference to your work life is a nice way of showing that you care about them and appreciate their efforts. At all Cactus annual events, employees have the opportunity to thank anyone they want to by writing notes on colourful Arigato cards that are especially created for this purpose.
At Cactus, we value our tenured employees for their trust in and years of dedicated service to the company. To felicitate these employees, HR initiated the "This year, that month" program for employees who celebrate their joining anniversaries. Depending on their tenure, each employee gets a Cactus–branded gift. The gift is handed out by supervisor in team–meetings, and the employee gets an opportunity to recount his/her experience of working at Cactus.
