English Editor
What do a sentence like this make you feel like doing? If you yearn to grab a pen and correct it, we could give you the chance to do so… and learn a lot while at it.

Our philosophy:

Picture, if you will, a parent correcting an errant child. S/he is sometimes gentle and otherwise firm, but always gets the message across. At Noesis, the humanities team, editing is a lot like parenting - yet so much more. For we believe that good editing is not merely about coaxing words to behave themselves within a sentence or admonishing them until they say exactly what we mean; it's about exploring subjects as diverse as Psychology, Literature, Economics, Sociology, Architecture, and Religion through a world of words.

Why us?

Once you join our Humanities and Social Sciences Editing team, you could begin your day by editing a neuropsychological study of individual differences, spend the afternoon with a thesis on the works of Edgar Allen Poe or James Joyce, and occupy your evenings with a paper on banking panics in a depression.

Interspersed will be lively discussions over cups of frothy coffee. We work in pairs and debate uncompromisingly until we arrive at the best way in which the author's meaning can be conveyed.

What we're looking for:

Our editing team boasts of talented individuals holding graduate and post-graduate degrees in English Literature, Economics, Business Management, Psychology, Sociology, History, and Political Science.

We welcome people from these fields as well as those from Linguistics, Anthropology, and the like. To swell our ranks, the main criteria are enthusiasm and flair for the language and for the subject you majored in. You don’t have to be a grammar guru (our training program will equip you with what you need); we just ask that you have a keen desire - and the ability - to enhance literature in your own field.

Join us and be the last word on all things English.

Fresh college graduates are also welcome to apply. If you have work experience in any field, it will be considered in determining your salary package.
