Our Transcription team (we call it Cripton) at Cactus prides itself on its accuracy, efficiency, and quality. We bring you novelty in transcription every day, in that, you can experience audios with highly diverse subjects, ranging across science, economics, academics, politics, sports, management, & cultural affairs.

Cripton is currently expanding its team strength and is looking out for experienced editors/QA/QC (transcription) to join its in-house team. As a Cripton Editor/QA/QC, you will proofread transcripts ranging from general events, interviews and meetings, conferences, lectures, workshop proceedings, educational meetings, focus group discussions interviews, media advertisements, and so on.

Note: You will not transcribe live calls and medical case reports.

Job Profile:

• Proofread transcripts of various dictation styles, accents, with an average accuracy of 99% or better (majorly we specialize in South–East Asian/American/British accents)
• Comply with transcription guidelines, standards of style, and formats of practice
• Meet predefined productivity targets
• Adhere to client guidelines
• Strict adherence to deadlines
• Mentor the junior editors in the team
• Sending constructive feedback to transcribers

You must have:

• Minimum of 4-5 years as an Editor/Proofreader/QA/QC (transcription) along with 1-4 years as transcriber.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills in English.
• Good online referencing skills

Selection Process:

The selection process will comprise of the following three tests:

• Objective-type (30 questions) – General English (Language Skill Test)
• Objective-type (10 questions) – Googling (Researching/Referencing Skill Test)
• Editing Test (two transcripts – 10 minutes each)

General transcription training

Cactus will provide the necessary training to candidates who clear our screening tests. You will undergo a 15-day training program which will comprehensively and systematically guide you through the whole quality check process and expose you to the kind of files we do on a day to day basis.
