About Cactus freelancing
In 2006, Cactus began its own freelance editing wing as an initiative to build capacity for its flagship brand Editage. Over the years, Cactus Freelancing has built a strong and diverse group of talented freelancers across the globe. The current cohort of 200+ experienced freelancers complements the in-house team of skilled editors, reviewers, and trainers. This group has resulted in Editage completing high-quality edits of over 140,000 + documents for more than 33,000 + clients. The Cactus freelancing community is an integral part of the Cactus family. Our team of freelancers uses sophisticated software, has its own extranet, engages in live discussions with our trainers, and works on a steady flow of assignments.

Why become a Cactus freelance editor?
A Cactus freelance editing position will provide you with a platform to apply your subject-matter expertise and English language skills to enable effective scientific communication. Our rigorous recruitment process ensures that we select only the best editors. Our managing editors, reviewers, and trainers dedicate quality time to ensure that our freelance editors receive all the information and support they need. Feedback via email, webinars, and live discussions are just some of the activities we undertake for our new and regular freelance editors across the globe.
Our freelance editors work with us because they love doing so. Because we not only understand their desire for flexibility but also recognize their need for an assured volume of work. Because, as one of our freelance editors puts it, we are “not an impersonal agency” but “an organization of caring people...committed to both editors and clients.”
